Cheesy Chips

One naturally lowers one’s expectations concerning quality when it comes to stadium fare, but sometimes one is served something that is a true affront to the very idea of food. Chippy’s cheesy chips are a prime example of this. To be fair, the chips themselves look like they would have been acceptable on their own. When the proprietor peels two cheese singles and plonks them on top of a pile of fryer-fresh chips, however, it’s clear something is very wrong. Singles and chips are shoved unceremoniously into a microwave. What emerges is a now-soggy mass of fried potato swaddled in what looks like a disgusting, sticky orange blanket. One can only assume that this is served as some kind of protest against the, admittedly grim, concept of cheesy chips. Otherwise, surely nobody could serve this monstrosity with a straight face and accept actual money in return?
