Margherita Pizza
D Fire
Malahide Cricket Club
Overall Score (/50):
38

D Fire is a Dublin based purveyor of fresh, wood-fired pizza and, if they’re at Malahide when you’re there, you could do a lot worse than head their way to get your lunch. The dough is pretty much perfect. The tomato sauce is just right, with a pleasant hint of sweetness. A generous amount of genuine mozzarella is heaped all over. It’s enough to fill you up and, perhaps more importantly given the Irish weather, warm you up as well. It is €15, however, which is quite a lot of money for a fairly basic pizza even if it is a great example of the value of doing the basics well.
